Author Joseph Geringer has studied England’s Late Victorian period for much of his life, spurred by a delight in reading 19th Century British literature, works by authors Bram Stoker,
Robert Louis Stevenson, Margaret Oliphant and
others. His objective in writing GASLIT LONDON
was to convey its vibrant history, a time when,
he declares, “Everything right with the British
Empire came out of London.” A public relations
manager, he spends his leisure writing both
factual and romantic history. He resides in Chicago.
